What is Certyfing Officer?

In the Republic of Cyprus a Certifying Officer (Notary Public) is a licensed public officer who attests and certifies documents for any legal transaction.

Notarial certification, sometimes referred to as "notarization", is a formality often required for documents which are to be used overseas. Certification of the genuineness of the signature on a document may be sufficient but sometimes further formalities may be required.

A Certifying Officer (notary) may also certify copies, photos and translations of documents.  Citizens of many countries need their documents to be legalized by the Foreign Ministry in Nicosia followed by countersignature of their Embassies or legalized by the Ministry of Justice in Nicosia, with signature and seal attached to the document, known as an Apostille. We can deal with legalizations for you within 24 hours.
